Heat rash and pain
I have developed a heat rash on one breast.I think its from wearing the shells they gave me at the hospital to help with scar tissue.I also wear a plastic sheild that baby uses during feeding to help suction and latch.I am going to bare it all today to help with the rash.

But oh the pain.Thank goodness its only latch on pain.But its so unbearably excrustiating.I scream and cry during the 1min latch on just to make it through to the slow sucking.

Can anyone else help?I used lanolin to help relieve irritation on my nipples.I'd put it on after feedings and before a shower.It especially helped when i had **** nipples.Nursing in different positions might help alleviate some pain, too.Maybe you could try expressing a little milk before you latch you baby on it might help your milk let down a little quicker and get you to the more comfortable nursing a little faster.
